Founder Introduction
My name is Murray, and I buy businesses.
I started Hazel Property Group because I believe there is a better way for business owners to exit — one that is quieter, fairer and more personal than the traditional broker route.
I trained with Dealmaker’s Academy and have spent years studying how to value, acquire and steward owner-managed businesses. I am not a fund, not a corporate buyer, and not a private equity firm looking to strip out costs and flip in three years. I am a private individual who buys businesses to run them — and I care deeply about what happens to the team and the customers after the deal is done.
MOTIVATION
Why I Do This
Most business owners spend decades building something they’re proud of. When the time comes to step back, the process of finding a buyer is often the most stressful thing they’ve ever done — public listings, nosy competitors, commission fees, and buyers who disappear after six months of due diligence.
I wanted to create something different. A direct line between owners who are ready to move on and a buyer who genuinely understands what they’ve built.
